I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK HIGHLY ENOUGH AS MY FRIEND HERE SUGGESTS...BUT I WARN YOU...oh my Gosh do I ever warn you this book is hard to be alone with once you realize the game...the things you lived through...YOU KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG! Read this book!!!!

because Bancroft does not pathologise victims of abuse and assign them to some half-assed victim culture or mentality.

He has total respect for women as equal humans.

The depth of his knowledge & experience is astounding, and to have found the words to walk you through it...

Best money I ever spent, every woman should read this book, it's a most empowering experience.
