New 10-minute play: "The Last Resort"
lighter:
Dr. G:
Your play was very interesting, though it made some part of my brain very, very sad.
And tired.
I also have to say it was interesting from beginning to end, and I rushed to see what happens at the end.
::pondering the play::
Honestly, I don't think it was your play that made my brain tired.
I think it's the struggle of dealing with difficult, negative people.
It's the stark reality that one person can't make 2 people happy, but 1 person can make 2 people miserable.

Hi Lighter,
“Your play was very interesting, though it made some part of my brain very, very sad. And tired.”
I have just the solution: a little boat ride!

Very true! Hmmm. But what’s better/easier: difficult, negative people or those who live in a narcissistic fantasy world? Sounds like a great topic for a play!
Seriously, thanks so much for the read, and the comment! (And I'm sorry if the play was a downer...)

The question: "But what's better/easier: difficult, negative people or those who live in a narcissistic fantasy world?" Some days, it feels like six of one and half a dozen of the other.
BTW, would it even be possible to give the play a happy ending? Hard to know.......

Compared with "Room with Maintenance," this one's a crowd pleaser! Thanks for the read--I appreciate it!
