Hi everybody,
In an ABC News article entitled: Pope: 'Powers' Did Nil When Jews Were Taken to Auschwitz

“Pope Francis on Sunday denounced what he calls the 'great powers' of the world for failing to act when there was intelligence indicating Jews, Christians, homosexuals and others were being transported to death camps."
Bravo to the Pope!
(I grew up with a dear family friend, Alice T., who survived Auschwitz…)

mudpuppy:
I find this pope comical. Is that the same as love?
In the same talk he first questioned whether those involved in arms manufacture could legitimately claim to be called Christians.
Two minutes later he's upset because the west didn't bomb the railroads leading to the concentration camps with planes and bombs built by...wait for it...arms manufacturers.
Bright boy.

Dr. Richard Grossman:
Hi everybody,
While we’re on a topic so dear to my heart, this story from the BBC brought tears to my eyes:
"'British Schindler' Sir Nicholas Winton dies aged 106"
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-33350880
“Winton’s efforts were not publicly known for 50 years” and “he died on the anniversary of the departure of a train in 1939 carrying the largest number of children - 241.”
