Green burials

Hey, Hops.  When you talked to your friend about setting up a green burial site on her property....did you do any research on it?

Didn't research anything statutory.
But with her 100 acres (used to be 400 but she sold some to the state for a new state park) I figure she could get all the formal/legal advice she needs. She just didn't wanna. But somebody will.

I was surprised to read that in my state, you can also be legally buried in your own back yard. Since I have no sentiment about my container, that'd be fine by me too. And not to mention, free.

In the past due to general interest, I've read a lot about the benefits (spiritual and environmental) but although there are some promising developments, there's not yet a simple "plant me in the forest" option in my nearby area. I think there's a very good chance of it being on the way, though. It's a progressive area.

You thinking about pursuing a similar plan? Very cool!
