Pooch
sKePTiKal:
Sounds like you could use some hugs your direction too, Hops!
Hopalong:
Thank you ALL, sistahs in the ether.
Today is peaceful, bittersweet. I realized I don't know how to wash a plate.
I'm not weepy (kinda wondering about that) but have written a poem about her (if you want it tell me in a personal message).
I'm noticing all the different absences. Her water dish is full. The house is clean. Her whirly tail is no longer stirring the air. Plates! Even the crows wonder where she is.
But all is well. It could not have gone more kindly or with so much love around.

lighter:
What a touching farewell to your devoted companion, Hops.
Pooch would be glad you'rmmbering her without suffering. Pooch wouldn't want you suffering.

Hopalong:
One could say I betrayed her completely but I hear approval.
After a bunch of very funny coincidences and various emails...the result is I have this PERFECT 10-week puppy in a pen in my living room, worn out from the excitement. I figure he'll wake up and want to play just as I finally drift off.
I just followed the universe and decided to say Yes to a good thing, even though it was startling.
He's super cute: a mix of Shitzu, Corgi and Doxie. So: sweet, smart and ridiculous.
That's what I like in a pooch! And a perfect older-person dog. He could try all day but not knock me over.
Feeling Pooch's approval and calm while I look to a lovely summer, bonding with this adorable creature.

Oh, I think Pooch has her chin on your knee, joyfully looking at the new puppy with you, (((Hops.))
You didn't betray her.... you're honoring all the joy and fellowship she experienced with you, brought to you and would want for you to have with this adorable new puppy!
I think it's just the right one for you, Hops. You'll know, either way, and it's OK, no matter what.
