I feel as you do.  I had an N mother and N grandmother. I think we all know that is not a coincidence.  My N Grandmother just passed away also.  She never acknowledged her behaviour problems as my mother continues to do also.  That is the difficult part.  I also keep/display no photos or keepsakes from them as those only serve the N.  It infuriates my N mother that I returned her wall-hanging of a poem with the subject of good parenting attributes - which she writes on the back, that she exercised from the day her kids were born(?). These N's are delusional liars and you can only remove them from your life by not cooperating in the relationship that they need/expect/demand from you.
