Brother is a worry -
« on: June 10, 2005, 10:07:47 AM »
I went to visit with my kid brother early his evening. He was cutting up some food in his kitchen with a BIG butcher knife and ranting about some guy who owes him some money. He then turned to me and gave me a dissertation on my finances and what I need to do to,"turn my life around and make some real money".  He vented a bit more about all the losers and morons with whom he HAS to do business. I asked him if he was tired of all the second rate losers in his life and he said, "you bet". I then suggested( with a grin)that he deserved only first rate losers. He enthusiastically agreed. He chopped some more and waved that blade around like it was a piece of celery. Scary! I left and he was still ranting as I walked out the front door.
Did I mention that he filed bankrupcy two years ago and is diagnosed NPD?

John.

Would fit nicely in the "most n comment" thread too eh?

Good for you for exiting!  Why stick around and possibly become part of his dinner?

which is most difficult- is trying to respond to n.s as though you would anyone else- 'cos they have their real problems as well as anyone else.

We just want to be human right?

But it's what an n does next usually shocks or upsets or rejects or offends.

You're doing your best; not your fault he's n.
