Wow, Selkie, you are the second person who recommended this book recently. I must pick it up.
As my mentor says: "everybody's saying it!!" It's pretty amazing...I think it's interesting how many of the same concepts are explored in different ways...like different cultures, religions and spiritual practices. Most have the same underpinnings when you look closely....maybe everything, really. Perhaps the "oneness" of the universe gets our attention in little spikes and bits...
it's mind blowing sometimes....

Yeah, this book has really changed my outlook on Life.

I'm still reading it, it's taking me a long time because the concepts are so new to me and it's hard to let go of my old beliefs.
I have to pause and ponder the points raised in it.  Sometimes I will mull over something for days before I pick it up again...

(It has since led me to another lot of books which I'm sure some of you may be familiar with, and that is The Seth books, by Jane Roberts.  I am in a reading frenzy at the moment)

Anyway, this particular book is teaching me a lot.  It made me realise how negative my thoughts are.  It made me question my beliefs about myself, especially when I see how they manifest themselves in my world...

and that's why I am looking into meditation.  I want to get into my core and fix things and find peace.

I have just realised that I've hijacked your thread, Hopalong

sorry!

I ain't feeling hijacked!  :P
I like it when somebody else flies the plane.

I do know what I have to do. And thanks everyone for taking up the topic.
I've got a hypnosis tape that will help...I'll play it tonight as I fall asleep and it will help me.

I did go to church and out to a movie with a good friend.
The depression's still there but a little lighter. Sun's out too.

I promise to report back when I get past the block.
Meanwhile, I'm delighted people are moving around on the thread...

(I don't think of it as hijacking, it feels like sharing. Plus, it's nice to see where thoughts go.)

Maybe procrastination issues are linked to a lot of other things in a broad way.
Just another form of paralysis...another expression of fear and (hmm) defiance.

Oooh, what movie did you see Hoppy?

I went to the movies last Saturday and saw Walk the Line, the Johnny Cash movie about his life.  His dad was so horrible!  Was an interesting film to watch.

Love H&H xx

Hi, H&H:
I'd like to see Walk the Line too. Finally got a TV I can watch DVDs on so I'll make that a treat.

I saw "Something New" a romantic comedy with a lot of depth to it. Highly recommend it!

visited by the
Flylady and her angelwinged friends from here, I got my piles of paper into proper piles ready to go into their new files. It was a big step.

And the publisher's offering me a rewrite job that's already been researched that I'll do happily becase it's less stressful. So I get some funds and some pressure, but it's a happy compromise.

Thanks to all of you who sent me motivational reminders and support. I went inert all weekend but you'd still planted the seeds and they bloomed tonight. Panic gone because I've taken action.
I'm getting dozey so will see you in the morning!

Love to (((((((Everybody)))))))))))
