<Had Geen not been stopped, he would have gone on to kill again, said the senior investigating officer in the case, Det Sup Andy Taylor.

The Thames Valley Police officer said Geen was "almost narcissistic in his desperate desire to be noticed". >

I'd say there's no 'almost' about it, this is what I would call the psycopathic range of Nism.

Wow!!! Interesting how nursing and the medical profession are both areas where a N is drawn to- both professions greatly trusted with potential for thrill seeking of a sick variety and God complexes. As a nurse, I'm aware of several " colleagues"- and i use the term loosely- who definitely fit the diagnosis of N and are extremely abusive to their patients and staff for their own pleasure and aggrandizement. Murder is obviously the extreme end of the spectrum. I agree- " almost" is not an accurate description! Moira
I've just ended abusive relationship of 1 yr. with male narcissist. I cycle between stages of anger and grieving and have accepted it. Hope I've alienated him so he won't recontact me- is this possible?     Moira

I read an article once how doctors can become Ns or greater Ns during the course of their training and professional life because the causative conditions are there: being placed on a pedestal and worshipped, at a great emotional distance, but forced to be perfect & never make ( or admit ) a mistake at risk of grave punishment!
