Thanks for your kindness.
The mean-spirited rudeness was actually a gift within the problem. I started a blog a few months ago, but hardly put anything on it except a couple of my poems. Meanwhile, I've been busting my hump and writing my heart out here, apparently just so people can snark and whine about having to read the things I post, as if someone was forcing them to do so, and as if there were something bizarre and dysfunctional about people discussing psychology-related issues on a clinical psychologist's psychological-recovery-oriented web site.
I'm going to copy the posts in question over to that blog. Where different people can read them. They'll be edited so they can 'stand alone' and there won't be any references to people or events here. It may not be the world's most popular blog site, but I'll be proud of it.
Without this kick in the teeth, I would probably not have made the decision to post these thoughts elsewhere. So definitely, a gift within the problem, because it's high time I started to take my writing seriously again, and put it into a more serious venue.
[The initial version of this post was pretty sarcastic. That's human, but it's not productive, so I've edited it.]
