That was wonderful Rosencrantz.  I have seen it before, but these kind of universal truths need to be revisited until we "get it," yes ??

Portia, you are so right !!  And I am picturing my N as a cartoon machine , the "face" all scrunched up, turning redder and redder with steam puffing  out of him and the digtal readout going "DOES NOT COMPUTE, DOES NOT COMPUTE, DOES NOT COMPUTE........"  So funny.....so sad.....

And CG, yes, #3 I am learning is so very important.  I am in the beginnings of a relationship with probably, the first non-N of my life.  We both really try to pay attention to the manner in which we communicate.  

It's hard in the beginning.  It's like learning to talk all over again.  But, it becomes easier with practice.  I am amazed at the difference in how I feel.  Of course, it does help that he is a non-N and doesn't respond by twisting my words and escalating the drama !!!
