Friends are like Flowers

Friends are like the flowers in Gods garden
Planted in various places
A blessing to those
who appreciate their
fragrant array

Some friends you choose
And some you need to lose
All choices cannot be correct
So give you friends a check
An N you will find will suck your mind
And life will become a bit of a bind

It is right to say
That to be happy and gay
Some hard decisions are to be made
But rest assured
When your N is ignored
You can find yourself once more

An N is a disease
As well as a sleaze
They brag and boast
And give the toasts
They seem to be great
Yet are so fake
I have to say
They are not for me
I'd rather drink my own wee!

They have their own justice
their own theocracy
singen arrogant praises like
"look at me Look at me"
What they promise
is exactly what they take
There  is no soul
in a replicat or a fake

Hee hee I like it how about this one:

An N is sad
sad as can be
They are twisted
twisted although none of us can see
They ruin lives
and are the master of lies
yet they slip past us all
like a midnight ghost

They are the fiend
the bogey man
they are the creep
the bully and weak
they are the addicted sad and afflicted
they make us suffer but I pity their bluster
As to never love and care for another
must truly be hell on earth

Thanks poet I really enjoyed writing it with you at my non-corporeal side, its quite statisfying and I can see why you write a lot of stuff in verse it has a kind of energetic effect on evaluating different aspects of N's and all other things too I suspect, perhaps I should try it out on some other issues and see what comes out...

Hi guys.

How Interesting!!

I am not a poet and never have been. I never was a songwriter either but......................

I began writing lyrics and music =songs, when I was banned from my daughter and grandkids. I found I could not express myself in straight sentences but I could with lyrics. That was 1991 & I sure have a bunch now and I found other inspirations, one being the psychopath I ended up with and have been rid of for 5 years, come June 15th.

He inspired a few nasty songs that no one would even sing, but it felt good!

Cool! when I was a young teen I found writing was my way of getting through a rough childhood, and every now and then I'll pick up a pen and see if something worth while comes out of it....  and as you say it is fun...  I wrote a silly poem one day called "Tigger And the Chipmunk", Tigger is my cat, and the poem/ story is about how this chipmunk (present) that Tigger brought to me one day from the back field, completely conned both her and I....  it is just a fun passed time...

Hey isittoolate thats a great song! Surely you could get top sales from stuff like that? Although I know how hard it is to get your foot in the business as I know a song writer whose been trying for years and finds that the chart side of the industry the toughest to break, he does like tv and film scores, has got a group and tours and stuff but he's still waiting for a big film or a chart success.

I will def try and write a poem or three every now and then to see what comes out, i tried to write about something else but found it very hard, seems like a strong current connection is needed with a subect for me to write one or perhaps I need to delve deeper in my mind and look for some feelings, I will perservere!

I appreciate your kudos re my song. Right! In this day and age, no little "nobodys" can get a foot in the door without paying $100,000.00 to an Independant producer.  I just do it for fun now, whenever I have an inspiration.
