Sex and the City
« on: June 16, 2008, 07:43:05 AM »
The show (although raunchy) got me hooked.  The whole thing between Big and Carrie was woven throughout the six seasons.  The movie?  I wouldn't recommend it unless you had watched the show and really gotten to know the characters.  I was happy they tied it all up at the end....

I thought the whole Carrie/Big thing was way overdone at the wedding.  She over reacted I think although he had been known to jerk her around quite a bit...

Samantha?  I really didn't think she needed to go back to being who she was because she quite obviously got older and it just doesn't look good to be a 50 year old promiscous woman...they should have had Smith get a soap job in New York....

I was happy for Charlotte........

They could have spent less time with Jennifer Hudson and more time with the guys.........especially the two gay guys that (did they) kinda get together??

I was just happy to have something new to watch.  I keep watching reruns and I already know what is going to happen.  So it was like getting to watch a new season in one sitting.  I was glad Steve and Miranda worked it out-she got in a funk and needed to be wakened up.

Hi ladies - I saw it last week.  I enjoyed it a lot even though I kind of didn't believe the whole wedding thing.  I mean - I just didn't believe they wouldn't figure it out right that day instead of months later.  But then, there would not be a whole second half to the movie. lol!  But besee, as in your example, things like that really happen.

I wanted to shake Miranda, but then I identified with her too because of working and being a mom.  Was it so cute when they showed Steve and their son asleep right by each other with their arms the exact same way?  Also, who was the child actor - what amazing casting.  He looked like their real son.

I thought Samantha was the funniest - she has all the good lines - but yeah I was kind of disappointed - she seemed kind of adrift.  I like besee's idea of her being much more powerful in creating a life in LA.  She's a can-do girl.

Great clothes though and it made me want to go shoe shopping in a big way.  Maybe someday.

I guess they had to have Jennifter Hudson to "hide" all the love letters.  Without her Carrie would have known about them before.  But months and months and months of depression and crying, etc???  After Big apologized right then and there.......................oh well, I just love the characters but I wanted Sam and Smith to be better...
