Thanks  Lighter
Yep, He can wash the floors etc., but when it's Y & R time She can watch with me as long as she talks only during commercials.
And IT cannot come in here when I'm gone, 'cuz I don't want to be counting my pills and marking the wine bottles, but I will give it a nice shot of 3 in 1 oil when needed.

I gives me something to look forward to. We all need that! I hope there is Cable in the afterlife.

Having something to look forward to really is not washing floors, scrubbing toilets or re-filling precriptions.

Now that I found a online site for movies, TV, Music, I have been watching movies: sometimes 2 a day. I keep Google open, and type in the title to see if I want to watch that particular one. Brand new ones, and I don't spend a cent on DVDs anymore. Wheeee.

Hi Izzy-

Regarding your rampant movie watching-When you mentioned selling off your vast movie collection on Craigslist, it gave me an idea and I ran with it- I began to try to scrounge all of the free movies, etc that I could. You have created a monster!!!

I have exhausted the free online movie sites and now get the maximum number of CDs every day from the library- I think that I've gotten addicted. Whatever is not available nearby can be ordered from the central library and sent to the local branch for pick up- amazing! This weekend I watched  Irma la Douce, The Third Man , The Black Swan, a bio on Irving Berlin, etc- (I was in the mood for nostalgia) They have quite an up to date collection and everything is FREE!

As for your ideal life, I love the idea of a robot helper, but also like to have a dog or 2 about as friends and protectors ( maybe the robot could be fitted with a laser weapon device?) I have read that the Japanese are experimenting with replacing the traditional dutiful children (read daughters or daughters in law) of aging parents with robots that provide assistance and companionship ( I believe that the Japanese have the longest average life span in the world, or at least are high on the list)

Of course, no robot could replace love and friendship-but maybe a well-programmed metal companion could help sort out the the vagaries of affectionate human ties???

Love,

C.

thank you PR
Yes, practical and mischievous. There is always that tad of mischief in me

I was out shopping today, PR and changing and in the wine store was flirted with by 2 guys, Hank and George, woo-woo, 49 and 50, so you see since I am older I can get away with it. Hank was standing in front of the door I wanted and I was in front of the door he wanted so he did both and I tried to back up but couldn't. It was noisy and the cash register was a -humming and I asked, "Did my backup beepers not work?" as I think I ran over Hank's toe.

Then on to the grocery store and A handsome Native lad was my checkout clerk. I said, 'Hiya handsome', and he was so good to me when packing and then hanging the bags on my chair. He touched me without my permission, but it was just a shoulder pat that seemed to mean, "This was fun!"

Then I came home and called the Super about my key, as I couldn't lock my door when I went out. All fixed nbow and almost time for Y & R

So changing, did you sell off your DVDs? or go to craigslist to buy? You borrow DVDs from the Library? My Library does not have movies/entertainment ones, just learning.

I hang out on my movie site and sometimes have watched 3 a day! Addictive is right, and still only own about 10 DVDs (the ones I wanted to keep!)

No dogs in my apartment. and I am not a cat person. I never knew cats could be pets. Ours on the farm were mousers and when they had babies Dad drowned the kittens and when the cats became old and sick he shot them. Lined them up on the back porch railing and made us watch. Bang bang bang bang--------------------->

I realize my therapist doesn't want to see my homework. When I do it, I do it for myself............... Well he sure is missing a life story!
So on with Life
Love

Hi Deer-

I do not own a DVD library- but a huge amount of books, some signed by the authors, etc. haven't had the guts to sell them yet- I like to keep textbooks as well, a filthy habit... The libraries here have huge racks of DVDs, feature films, educational, music videos, instructional- a veritable embarrassment of riches!!! You Izzy have created a MONSTER!!!!

As to the kitty situation, I have extremely pet-like cats- they are demostrative to an extreme, cuddly, vocal , and  playful. Even the freeloaders who show up for the odd meal are little sweeties.

Regarding your shameless flirting, the cavorting and running over feet , etc is so endearing- like children or puppies. I love it so- affectionate play seems a so much more natural mode of relating than the modern norm of consumeristic interchange (what DOES that mean, anyway?)

Love From Your Friend,

Changing

hiya changing

consumeristic interchange
Well I think that that must be the boring part when clerk and customer are bored with life and anyone they meet.

My affetionate play keeps me young, and I enjoy the teasing and good rapport. I use the same stores and sure wouldn't want to have the reputation of a grouch.....bad enough there are walking grouches......rolling ones could be 10 times worse...... I do this for all my compatriots.

xx

Hi Miss Izzy=

I love the picture of rolling grouches (this would make a great cartoon for the New Yorker, etc)- it certainly does seem formidable!!! As to the consumeristic interchanges, I guess that I was thinking about the cold sizing up and couplings (and uncouplings) seen in modern society. I love the dynamic sweetness of play and fun inherent in your interactions with people, especially men!!!!

Love,

C.
