Hi everybody,

Here's a brief article from the Boston Globe on one man's struggle with crippling OCD and how significant progress was made with the help of a caring psychiatrist.

http://www.boston.com/lifestyle/articles/2009/05/16/the_man_who_walked_backward__the_doctor_who_turned_him_around/

There's a new book out detailing the story:  Life in Rewind by Murphy, Jenike, and Zine

Best,

Richard

p.s.  Full disclosure:  I worked with Dr. Michael Jenike at Mass General Hospital years ago in the Psychiatry Department--and liked him a lot...

There was a remarkable interview on NPR this week with the Dr. and the patient.  I was deeply moved by it.  In fact I sent an e-mail to Dr. Jenike - astonishingly he gave it out over national radio.  Clearly that is the type of man he is.  I'll try to find the link to the NPR interview.

Here it is: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=104094380
