Here are the brownies -god I need to get some paper towel to mop up my drooling just thinking about them.

These are MaryAnne's brownies

2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 Cup butter
1 Cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 Cup flour
(1 cup walnuts -optional -why dilute the chocolate I say)

Melt butter and chocolate. Remove from heat and add the rest of the ingredients mixing well. Pour into 8x8 pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
Simple...deadly!

Can ice with butter creme icing ( that recipe wasn't included but will ask MaryAnne if anyone is curious)

Die happy!

Wow les, that is a simple recipe.  :D Thanks for posting..

The holidays are coming up - might try it for Thanksgiving get together with my husband's relatives.  I'd be tempted to eat the whole thing myself. I guess you Canadians already had your Thanksgiving Day. Seems like a better date than our late November Thanksgiving here in the US.

What do any of you all have for Thanksgiving Dinner? I've got good food memories of get togethers with extended  relatives that I can never ever reproduce. There were too many aunts, grandmas and relatives contributing that were master cooks that have passed away that it is an era that has disappeared I'm afraid. Either that or else I really had a lot of fun playing with my cousins and got so hungry that anything would have tasted good and besides, food tastes better to me when I don't have to get worn out  from cooking it.
