I get your drift I think, TT. Although I haven't read the piece and I don't know the story.

If the patient was being used (abused), by someone in a position of power over them, then the 'truth' (in that case) will be difficult to unearth, especially if the victim was 'willing'.

Any 'leading', overdone influencing, pressurising.....etc, done by those in power for their needs, over someone vulnerable, is abusive....it happens in families everywhere....

so whom do you trust, for the truth? It depends on who wants to know what and why, doesn't it? Or does it.
