Hi - My therapy is long over and I am still having some bad feelings about the T. I dont think he was much help and I feel that his lack of encouragement made me feel like I'm not capable or deserving. I'm still feeling hurt and angry about that. There were other things I did not like, but they dont bother me anymore.
I posted a review on one of the psychology review listings. Here is what I posted:
(Therapist Name) did not seem to understand me, my issues or my goals for therapy. He listened alot but did not suggest or offer much in terms of what I could do to improve myself or my situation and had little encouragement for me. I went through a break-up during this time and was kind of left adrift without the guidance I would expect in therapy. I left my sessions confused and kept returning, hoping I was learning something. After two years of weekly sessions, I decided to discontinue my therapy.
Do I sound assertive or like a victim?
Thoughts please! Thanks.

Sounded true and real to me, and not vindictive.
Good luck, Ales. I hope you will find a new T,
because when it's the right fit, it's so healing.
love,
Hops
