Title: Merry Christmans & Happy New Year
Post by: Onlyrenting1 on December 19, 2004, 05:30:29 PM
Merry Christmas to all of those on the message board !!!

I'm wishing you all from my heart the warmest thoughts for your Christmas to be Merry and a Happy New year!!!

Keep strong and Please keep sharing your thoughts.

When the Hacker took away the board,  those around the world who share some of the same conflicts as I do were missed very much.
I have never had others how I could talk to about life with an N.

Now I know I'm not alone anymore what a way to end the Year.

Thank you all again so much......Onlyrenting1

I agree, too.  This board is a lifesaver to many people.
Grit your teeth, peeps, for this is the most stressful time of the year for most people.
Remember to take a "time out" when dealing with others.
Bless all of you in the coming year!   :D

I second this:

In fact, do something very special for yourself this year. If you've been ignored for many years by an N close to you, do for yourself what it is you wish they would do for you - such as buy yourself a nice present, or take yourself and a good friend out for a festive dinner, go see the Nutcracker, host a party. But above all, promise yourself you will do at least one thing to have fun this year - one thing that no one can ruin for you![/quote]

This is good advice. Although I am planning an unconventional Christmas without family, it doesn't preclude doing something fanciful and fun. To get through it, I've lowered my expectations as to the stereotypic Norman Rockwell holiday gathering.

Thanks, Ellie!
