Title: more 'n' moments
Post by: del'smom on March 30, 2005, 05:53:45 AM
i just read the thread about 'most narcissitic comments ever'.  it made me laugh (and cry) and i knew i had a good one:

him coming home from a vacation with his mistress, finding i had been sick while they were gone.... he started beating me up (to help me get better?) saying i had 'gotten sick on purpose, to make him look bad'.

after i broke free he was running down the stairs behind me - fist in the air - bellowing - "how can you not know who loves you?"

my lovely daddy also taught me about the age of ten the 'proper' way to slit my wrists, so if i did it i could 'do it right'.

Dear Del'smom:

What truly horrific brutal behaviour on your father's part!
I'm so sorry that you had to endure such a terrible childhood (which I am imagining because my bet is there are lot's of other examples besides this stuff you've posted).
How sick he was/is and how courageous you were/are for survivng and talking about it now.   :!:

Welcome.  I hope you will continue to post when you feel like it.   Have you ever talked about these awful experiences before?
