Hi Y'all,
Just wanted to thank you for all your kind wishes and heartfelt prayers for the successful conclusion of my divorce settlement.
The mediation lasted about 3 hours which wasn't too bad. The bottom line is that I mostly got what I wanted and I can now move on with my life with the peace of mind of financial security for me and the kids.
They will be setting a court date for next week to finalize, but the hard part is over. I feel that a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I can now start making some real plans for the future. I will probably be looking for part-time employment, but its not essential that I get that done immediately and can take time to find what I want.
I'm happy, but a little sad too just knowing that it will finally be over. 23 years is a long time to devote to someone without feeling something at the end. Maybe I just need to get drunk and disorderly. :?
Bless all of you for seeing me through this. Tomorrow is a new day :D
Love from,
Brigid

Brigid,
Hugs for my sis.
Its never easy going through anything to do with court, lawyers, judges, bailiffs, gavels, hard chairs; you name it stinks.
I'm glad its over with for you and on your terms. Blessings. :D
Not too drunk or disorderly please. Would hate to have to bail you out.

PS
I also wanted to say that I know all about the mixed feelings "the end" brings. But like you said, tomorrow is a new day.
Didn't want you to think that I was downplaying your pain.
Keep your chin up. You deserve better in life.
(((Brigid)))
Take care.

Hi Brigid,

Be very kind to yourself; you have been through so much.

Thanks to all of you for the good wishes. I have a wonderful sense of calm today that has not been there for over a year and a half. I gave myself a pedicure (mudpuppy, you should try it sometime if you haven't already--it would make your big clodhoppers taste better before you inserted them in your yap  ) and I'm planning a celebration dinner with a friend. I had so many wonderful people praying for me and my angels on this board were on my shoulders, too. Good work guys. :P
