Stormchild's Recipe for Birthday Cake
3 cups flour
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 T vanilla extract
1/2 tsp lemon extract
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 stick butter
1 bottle Wild Turkey
2 cats alive, alive-o (may substitute own pets)
Catnip to taste (may substitute doggie treats, etc.)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Set out all ingredients on kitchen counter in their unopened containers.
Pour yourself a stiff one. Pet the cats. Pick up the cats. Hug the cats. Cry into the fur of the cats because you are so glad they are both still here to see you into your 50th year.
Put the eggs, flour, milk, butter, sugar, salt, lemon extract, vanilla extract, baking powder, and butter back where you got them, and have another slug of Wild Turkey. Turn the oven off before you burn the place down.
While you can still navigate, award the catnip and laugh like mad while they roll around in it with eyes the size of saucers. When they fall asleep, lie down next to them on the rug and repeat the following until you do too:
"Thank god thank god thank god thank god."
Make sure the cap is back on the bottle of Wild Turkey.

Suppository

Two elderly women were eating breakfast in a restaurant one morning.
Ethel noticed something funny about Mable's ear and said,
"Mable, did you know you've got a suppository in your left ear?"
Mable answered, "I have? A suppository?"
She pulled it out and stared at it.
Then she said, "Ethel, I'm glad you saw this thing.
Now I think I know where my hearing aid is."

One more Stormy!
A Cat Heaven
One day a cat dies of natural causes and goes to Heaven. There he meets the Lord himself. The Lord says to the cat, "You lived a good life and if there is any way I can make your stay in Heaven more comfortable, please let Me know."
The cat thinks for a moment and says, "Lord, all my life I have lived with a poor family and had to sleep on a hard wooden floor." The Lord stops the cat and says, "Say no more," and a wonderful fluffy pillow appears.
A few days later six mice are killed in a tragic farming accident and go to Heaven. Again the Lord is there to greet them with the same offer. The mice answer, "All of our lives we have been chased. We have had to run from cats, dogs, and even women with brooms. Running, running, running; we're tired of running. Do you think we could have roller skates so we don't have to run anymore?" The Lord says, "Say no more," and fits each mouse with beautiful new roller skates.
About a week later the Lord stops by to see the cat and finds him in a deep sleep on the pillow. The Lord gently wakes the cat and asks him, "How are things since you arrived?"
The cat stretches and yawns and replies, "It is wonderful here. Better than I could have ever expected. And those Meals on Wheels you've been sending by are theeeeeeee best!!!"

If you were serious about what is a chickadee--I have tons of them in my yard. Cute little black, white and grey birds that are named for the sound they make--chickadeedeedeedee. I love them. :)

Happy Birthday to you
D and I went to the Taste of Addison here in Tx. We saw 3 great bands.
Smash mouth was the main attraction.
They shot out T-shirts and two times they came right to me, but bounced off my hand into someone elses.
The family next to us gave us the first one becasue they felt sorry for us. Found out they were with the one of the bands( Sharp Edge)? and could get T-ees any time. The Daughter helps write their music and is a backup singer, travled with Justin Timberlake. We got pictures and she signed the T for my D.
I even saw my boss there, and a member of my D's youth group too. So even though you were not here for your birthday, we had a great time with celebration on a wonderful day.
