Title: My best Valentines
Post by: write on February 15, 2006, 02:28:37 AM
today was such an unusual and perfect day.

My ex and son woke me with flowers- a pot of tulips- then we ended up singing and laughing.

Tonight I  went for dinner with friends, returned in time to see a chunck of ' the Birdcage' ( wonderful movie )

Now I'm off to bed. It's peaceful. the first year of my adult life I am single. And happy.

Yesterday late in the morning the doorbell rang.  My first thought was to not answer it as it was probably someone wanting to sell me something.  I decided to open the door and because I have no windows near my front door, had no idea who I was opening it to.  When I saw the floral delivery woman standing there with a long box tied with a big red bow, I immediately got tears in my eyes.  My bf is out of town until tonight, so I was not expecting any Valentine's celebration until he returned.  I can't remember the last time I had flowers delivered and such a simple gesture was so meaningful.  He really made my day.
