Title: if it's ok to request some prayer
Post by: reallyME on April 18, 2006, 11:03:24 PM
My best friend's niece was put back into her abusive home today, after staying 2 weeks with my best friend, and showing no signs of distress nor bipolar disorder.  The girl's mother is trying to have her proven to be CRAZY so she can put her in a mental institution!  This is a desperate case indeed!  This girl is sooooooo intelligent yet been so abused, physically, emotionally, by her N "mother" and "sister"  I saw both those titles LOOSELY!!! THey don't even deserve THAT much!  She has been choked, threatened, beaten and told she is a whore, slut, b****, among other things.

When the girl stayed with her aunt, my friend, she was fine.  The dang CPS and police believed her N "mother" against my best friend, so she is now locked in the house with the N's.  Please pray.

My heart goes out to you and I'll be adding you in my prayers. Never underestimate the power of prayer- I have been amazed at what's been resolved on occasion in my own life and those of my friends in response to prayer and if it's not meant to be resolved to " our satisfaction"- I know that prayer gives us the courage and grace to walk through fear, injustice and pain. Out of curiosity- where are you from? I know here in the colony of Canada- hee hee!!!- it's pretty challenging to have anyone admitted to an institution- let alone a psych ward!!! Stay strong in your truth and courage. Sending you love and light- Moira

Greetings reallyME- Texas eh? Are you familiar with mental health act there and is it possible this child could be committed to a psych ward given the history you know? Despite Ns allegations she's allegedly crazy- and granted, given her abuse, her behavior could only be crazy in appearance- pretty difficult to have psychiatrist support any diagnosis based solely on third party collateral( subjective, their non professional ' opinion"). Keep posting. Prayers and positive energy your way! hugs, Moira

ReallyMe -

According to a police officer here in Texas that I spoke to, if this woman makes ANY threats to harm herself or others, they can ask that she be taken into "protective custody" and put somewhere.  This is recent info.  I don't know if it applies, but I know a lot of Ns that use this as a manipulation technique.

I will be praying as well.

hi all! Good point about alleged threats of harm to self/others possibly netting an evaluation at hospital but here in Canada, anyway, difficult to facilitate this solely based on third party allegation- unless person has documented history of a mental illness. Otherwise, most of us who have been involved with Ns would have been hospitalized!!! Moira
