Title: Therapist recommendation in London?
Post by: hey_dahl on February 10, 2007, 03:42:15 PM
Hello all,
I'm looking for a new therapist in the Greater London area. If there's anyone here who has had a good experience with someone, preferably who knows about NPD, I'd really appreciate your recommendation.

Many thanks,

Hi there,

I used to be in therapy with a wonderful man in Hammersmith area, called Geoffrey Sharman. At the time I got his number through the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, since I had decided I wanted to do Cognitive Therapy, and his office was nearest to where I worked. Talk about good luck!!

I can't find his number on their site any longer, so he may have retired or stopped taking new patients...  :(

If you decided that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy was right for you, you could use the Find a Therapist link on the left of the BABCP website, found here: http://www.babcp.org.uk/ (http://www.babcp.org.uk/)

The British Association for Counselling and Therapy is another good site for finding a therapist: http://www.bacp.co.uk/ (http://www.bacp.co.uk/)

Good luck and I hope someone can give you a recommendation for someone who's still practising! I hope you find someone you can really work with.

All the best,
Maitri
