Title: tricks of the trade (?)

In relation to a reply I posted on another post, I was wondering if the nature of comment I mentioned fits in with being narcisitic.

Comment being, when I parent says 'I knew something was wrong, I could tell!' (implied: I will always know/will always find out, so you best tell me! (?)).
It certainly seems to fit in with the idea of not seeing the other person as seperate  (!).
