Title: Poem "Complimentary Con Man"
Post by: poetprose on April 02, 2007, 06:00:18 PM
There's a complimentary con man
Standing outside my door
Offering me fringe benefits
Hoping to make a score
He has all this knowledge
the vulnerable do not see
Inside his little bag of tricks
He calls Compliementary
He knows you have lost a spouse
While browsing through want adds
But It's a secret he won't tell you
Because he knows it makes you sad
The complimentary con man
Wears a multiple pocketed suit
But he hides his true motives
inside the soul of a boot
And it doesn't really matter
which pocket he will chose
He markets a deception friend
And you are going to lose!
So when this complimentary con man
Comes slithering across your path
Just give him your complimentary kick in the A**!

Thans Beth..

This poem actually came to me after watching a show on tv, about how this con artist was milking elderly women out of their entire life savings, the show really effected me , and in my own way I wanted to do something*... so i wrote that

and the fact that they wear a "multiple pocketed suit"  shows there are many ways to con innocent people
