Thank you for asking. I am flattered. I had the feeling that nobody cared. So I stopped posting. Just reading the posts everyday. Almost everyday. Learning. Thank you so much for asking. That made me feel so good. That immediately came and asnwered you. I am doing OK. Lost 40 pounds. It is wonderful to look at the mirror and like what I see. It is a wonderful sensation. I am not pretty, but being skinny makes me look great. I love it. School ends May 23. I survived the third quarter. Students still misbehave. It is the nature of the beast. Need to learn how to be assertive. I never was assertive in my entire life. But will learn. Thank you again for asking. Thank you, tahnk you, thank you.

Great to hear you are doing so well with your weight loss.  I know the struggle.

Can also relate to your assertiveness issues.  It is ongoing work for me which I struggle with daily.  I wish you the best and hope you continue to post.  I have always found your posts enlightening and helpful.

HEY Lup I thought I sent you a PM But when you didnt respond I thought I would ask.  I asked about you on the Me Me Me thread but you didnt post there either.  So what I want to know is how you lost the weight?

Thank you Dear friends, thank you so much for writing, for talking, for your kind words. I am better because it is only five weeks to end classes. I really hope that next year will be better with the what I have learned now. Also, losing weight has been the best investment I did. Just regret not doing it earlier. Likeing what I see in the morror is very important. Not necessariry pretty, but skinny looks always better. Just to put on the jeans I kept in storage for more than ten years. I felt like miss uniververse. Went dancing and two young men wanted to dance with me. Of course I did not tell them I was 50. Male teachers look at my back, I do not need anybody to tell me I look good, I know I look good, mirror shows it. I still need to be told that I am a good teacher, despite I know I am a good teacher.
Diet, and exercise. That is the secret. No carbohydrates. Zero carbs. If you want to consume your own fat you have to not have carbs in your blood, because the liver is going to prefer always carbs. So you need to have zero carbs so your liver turns to fat for production of energy. I eat zukini, carrot, green beens, chiken and strowberry. That is it. All day. Go to the gym everyday. Every single day. Take zumba two days a week, salsa one day a week and belly dance once a month.
They found a mass in my liver. I will have a CT-scan next Saturday. Pray for me. Hope it is only fat and nothing bad. In the name of God. Please. Pray for me.

WILL PRAY!  So dont you miss bread and pasta?  And ice cream?  Yes that is why I am chubby!  I would like to lose 60 Pounds!

How do you like Zumba?  I think it sounds like so much fun!  I'm trying to get my son to get certification as a teacher--it's the big thing now.

Hi Lupita,

Just checking on you.  I know your tests were supposed to be done on Wednesday.  Did you get the results back yet?

I imagine you are incredibly busy, trying to fit medical stuff in around the end of the year school stuff.  But when you come up for air, come back and let us know how you are.  We've been praying.

Thank you dear friends. Thank you CB. I had ultrasound. The doctor wants a CT-Scan of liver. That will be done tomorrow. I have to start drinking contrast, a cup each 45 minutes at 5:00 AM. Then go to the Radiologic Center at 7:30 AM. The radiologist will read the results on Monday and I will contact the center for a copy on Tuesday. I have appointment with the doctor Next Friday. Next week. Also another study beside the mass in the liver a probable stobe in the gall bladder, they will do a HIDA scan for invisible gall stones. That will be on the 30th of april. If positive I have to have surgery to remove the gall bladder.  :( :? :| :cry:
I feel so nice to know that you want to know. Thank you. I  will sure let you know on Tuesday. When I pick up results.  I am praying for nothing to be serious. Gall stone is not big deal. The mass in the liver could be something very bad, hope it is not. Hope, and pray for only a malformation of vessels or a fat infiltration. If tumor, it is bad. But my son only has me, and I donot belive that God wants to torture my son even more, after all he has been through.

You go, Lup!!  Am praying for you and I am hoping it is gall bladder.  Boy, it is always something isn't it?  My friend just found out her 23 year old daughter has a brain tumor!!  We have lots to pray for!

Got CT Scan done today Saturday. Results will be on Wednesday.
