Hey guys, how do I go about doing a poll on here is it easy? Im not sure what I want to do a poll about mind, just fancy doing one as you can never beat a good ol poll :P
Also a question to our cousins across the pond, I went to the states some years back when I was a wee laddie, well a teenager anyway, and as I exited from the airport a security guard/cop said to me "wow you're an apple pie face aint ya" (or something to that effect), being a teenager I was horrified he would say such a thing and thought it a mortal insult, it doesnt bother me now of course (much :P ) but it comes up in conversation over the years (and today actually as someone I know was chatting to some dude from Colorado, as you do :D ) and it bugs me as to what the guy meant. Do I have a face that looks kinda crumbly or is it that I look like I need an apple pie slapped in my face? I was a little testy after the flight as I can never get to sleep on a plane which bugs me big time and having a dude say that to me on exiting was not my idea of a greeting  I felt like saying well you look like a **** so no ones perfect, but he was armed so I erred on the side of caution :P
Any incite into this phrase "apple pie face" will be well received, unless it does turn out to be a mortal insult and in that case just lie to me, pat me on the head and I'll stay blissfully unaware :D
Ta very muchly

apple pie face= all American boy, scrubbed clean, pleasant features, --attached, politeness and neat hair cut--
That's my take and it is a postive remark, unless one is addressing the leader of the Hell's angels, or unless one thinks he is tough looking and WANTS to be tough looking.
-
I've only ever heard the phrase " here's a pie in your eye"..... meaning respect "props"
-
Hi James,
It means young and fresh scrubbed, I think! Open and friendly.

yes, friendly, and maybe a round face with cheeks as rosy as apples?
Never fear, it is good!
-
In th US Apple pie is very American-baseball and hot dogs, too! If he called you a she face it might mean round faced but the apple comment makes it an all american boy-but you are not, right?
-
I mean a pie face not a she face

(((OC)))) I cracked up when I read the "she face" comment but it turns out it wasa typo, thank goodness :D , although I think you may have stumbled on a good friendly banter insult for someone, not sure what context it can be used in but I will throw it into a conversation when appropriate and I'll let you know the result :P I was thinking of something like Don't be such a she face, or oh dear now thats a she face is ever I saw one! :P

James, dearie...
If "she-face" is an insult, that doesn't bode well for women's self-esteem...so I urge you to find another...okay, I'll help....
Barn face?
Gargoyle face?
Fertilizer face?

Hops I did think that but I get fed up with political correctness gone mad so please dont spin it that way as its not meant to be derogatory to women as that aint me, its just a bit of fun ok? :?

When I was 8 and in Grade 5, I was called "pie face". Now THAT one hurrt!!!!

Yes people can be extremely hurtful, I got called a lot of names at shcool, and girls can be very cruel (some girls anyway and especially in my old school) when youve got spots and your a young lad, being looked at like some hideous beast tends to dent the soul some what, once some girl gave me a look of such pure digust it made me feel like killing myself and hurt me very deeply, but hey happy days :? not  Ah what am I like, big baby aint I, character building is what it was and is, I dont regret anything thats ever happened to me be it good or bad, its made me who I am, its helped me learn to be a better person, tougher yet still kind ( i hope :P ) Ive been to edge of hell and back again via various things and now im cooling off i'm feeling forged anew, iron on the outside as well as on the inside with some soft reserved for those I love.
