Title: Connecting Mind and Body--
Post by: isittoolate on June 26, 2007, 08:51:49 PM
Hi
Today I had my first SRT treatment and I see how it works. I cannot explain though.

My therapist does the talking and then asks me my feelings, like in my body between neck and tummy.

(We all know what different ones we get if we won the lottery, or if someone just up and lied to us, or punched us....different feeling)

So when I had a 'black' feeling, she is in touch with me with her own feelings toward me and can tell---then I have a "white" feeling and she can tell from her feelings toward me and from looking at my face.

Love
Izzy

WOW--- it sounds like you are engaging the mind-body connection. That is so good. For me, therapy was only in the head and so, did not help me.I am interested in hearing more. How did it feel to you, Izzy?                            Love  Ami

Hi Hops
Do I smell some doubting with the Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

Hi Ami

All felt 'fine'--really no different, then when she asked I realized there WAS a difference--'cause she knew it. Weird!

I had a weird thought. What if my Mind, rejected this damaged Body? Remember I had know therapist to see me through after the accident!

Now are we trying to do THAT reconnection? I thought of that after I left her.

love
Izzy

Izz I swear you're sharp as a razor.  :)

Maybe I did have a doubt flashing through with that "Hmmm"...but I am mostly feeling amazed.

If some amazing neuro-wiggle is helping you to recognize your emotions I say it's golden.

Sorry, hon. I didn't mean to sound discouraging. I'm happy for you!
