He looks wonderful in clothes. Love Ami

Here's a giggle - he farts, but doesn't know what that noise is... he always looks a bit surprised. LOL. He is so funny.
Yes, he's a sweet pea. I have him trained almost well. Just need to work on meeting people and animals. He gets excited and jumps. I'm working on it, but I think I need to get some professional help.
Thanks for appreciating my boy!!
Love, Beth

(Henry joy).
I am sure you know about the knock-em-squak-in-the-chest-with-a-raised-knee thing?
Enough times going sprawling, and they get it (I think)
He's a complete wonder.
thanks, (((((Beth)))))!

Halloween
OMG! soooo adorable! i looove bulldogs. and pugs! and yours has the most adorable little underbite. aw...i want one.!
-
That li'l punkin outfit was just HIM, lol.
-
Hops, kicking him in the chest would only break my foot. And he wouldn't feel it... alas. We have tried ignoring him, bending his paws, giving him a treat to lure him away, who knows what else.
He was an adorable pumpkin. My daughter picked out a cowboy costume for this year - checkered shirt, bandana and a little ten gallon hat. LOL. Poor Henry.

Dear Beth,
One of our mutts is a very large babygirl of about 85 # and she loves to jump. When she's excited, I can't turn my back on her or she'll bowl me over from behind. I'm 5'9 and her paws reach the top of my shouders, so I always be sure to stay facing her and when she gets over-excited and begins that leap, I raise my knee between us (have to be braced, legs apart, or she'll still knock me over..lol).
A few times hitting my bony knee and she (mostly) learned that wasn't an experience worth repeating.
Can't wait to see Cowpoke Henry :D in that hat!!
Love,
Hope

Right, CH!
It's the KNEE in the chest, Beth. Not the foot.
You know he's coming, you brace yourself, and you raised your knee so BAM! it lands right on his chestbone. And he goes sprawling. (If he doesn't go sprawling then you ain't got it yet.) It seems "mean" but it truly isn't. Breastbone's really tough. And it makes him happier too once he gets the idea.
Sometimes it helps to recruit a friend to be the "visitor"--show the friend the technique.
xo to both of you! Ear rubs, too!

OK,
Let me try the knee thing. We also tried spraying him in the face with a water bottle. That works to some extent...
Thanks guys!!!

These 'approaches' sound like they might be good to try on people that I know...

Hi Towrite,
They're here, they're beautiful!
What are they?
What is their temperament like?
I dream of a little dog companion one day...
thanks,

Hops, they are the delight of my life. The one on the right is a Lhasa Apso - Chewbacca, Chewy for short - and the one on the left is a Pekingnese - Hooch, Hoochie-Coochie at play times. Chewy is a mouthy, loving, smart-as-he** buddy who likes to go everywhere with me. He mouths off if I make him do something he doesn't want to do. He has a large vocabulary and knows me like a book. Hooch is funny, a real comic, not very bright but endearingly sweet. I don't think he ever played before he came to live with me. I got him at the pound a year ago - someone had dumped him beside the road at night. He was starving, infected and had lost 1/3 of his body weight, which for an 11 lb dog is a lot. And he's a purebreed. I'm happy to say he's now fattened up and thriving. We have lots of conversations the three of us. I even have a T-shirt that reads "Who needs a Therapist? I have a dog." They are my main squeezes and they beat the he** out of some of my NX's.
