Title: my life on the merry-go-round...updates
Post by: reallyME on August 24, 2007, 02:24:02 PM: Well, today is my 41st b'day, and a LOT is going on.

First of all, we just got our water turned back on, because Catholic Charities got a group to pay our water bill for us! YAY!

Next, my 18 yr old is pregnant...the N one, yes. Her attitude is that she has this all figured out, doesn't need my help or money or anything from me. She told me today "you make it sound like YOU are gonna be raising this kid!"

I went and did a typing test for a data entry job and I GOT THE JOB! I start Sept 10...the hours are 7-3:30...works perfect with everyone's schedule! It is a temp to hire position. I also have another job with making appts for the district manager of an insurance co. I plan to do both as long as I'm able.

My bio-mother sent me $50 for my birthday and a phone card, the lady I mentor ordered me the N book you all recommended to me, is buying me a Bible and coming to see me during our next festival we'll be doing flowering onions at!

Life just feels GOOD right now!

By the way, what are flowering onions? I grow society garlic with the pretty flowers.( and the garlicky scent)...is it something similar to that?

A flowering onion is an actual colossal onion that is sliced to look like a flower, coated in batter and then deep-fried. Some restaurants call them Blooming Onions.
