Having no luck with job applications. Have applied for hundreds. Know it's my age - that damned age ceiling is so real I can reach out and touch it. Have to move out of my house b/c it's gonna be sold and I can't live here knowing any day I could be told, "You have 30 days to get out." Am in negotiations for another house. Should hear something by tomorrow. Please ... please... a ray of sunshine badly needed ... an opened door would be welcome ... a stroke of luck .... anything.

Sending hope, ToWrite.
I was at the end of my rope, too. Growing out my white hair, walking with a limp, getting turned down or ignored for every job I applied to. This town is full of overeducated, frisky young people who work for crumbs and can compute in their sleep.
I remember feeling an unexpected thing one night: "It will work out. It willl be okay. There is always some choice to make. Something will change and I don't know what. Meanwhile, I need to eat some protein."
Soon after that, this new job I love came along (I also reached out and made it happen).
Please don't despair. Some businesses and organizations are beginning to see how much wisdom and work ethic they get from hiring older employees.
Sending vibes for you to get some good news SOON.
love
