Hello All-
Tonight was the final time for filing my response to NH Bagworm's attempt to take my little disability check. It made me sick to see the lies about me, and the Bagworm's blatant attempt to steal out there in print. I saw that the first lawyer was not going to be able to defend me- the items were wrong on the documents, and the lawyer said unkind things about clients whose cases (and children) were lost in court etc- I was unnerved and frantic. I made many calls and had to deal with law school , problems with taxes because of the Bagworm, and many other stupid difficulties that kept me up day and night.
Then I got a call from a man with a dulcet voice and intelligent, polite manner. He is a senior in a major firm and well-connected, etc, seemingly way out of my league for counsel as money is tight and the Bagworm took our savings, etc, leaving me a less-than-wealthy, ridiculous, cane using law student (not a major client) in a cleared-out house. Still he wanted to meet with me despite the pressing filing date.
I met with him after school. He has major degrees and gives seminars to the judges on the issues that are in my case. I had tried to be as Izzyfied as possible, and had gathered enormous amounts of evidence (easy with the myriad wrongdoings of an N), and the lawyer said that he was impressed (little did he know that it was Izzy that he was impressed with.) He took my case, and I continued faxing evidence, etc.
I wrote my Declaration and he fashioned it into the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I have no TV or stereo etc here among the boxes, but I am mesmerized by the filing document, refuting every lie and documented to the hilt, and am happy just readimg and rereading it! It is such a wonderful thing- he has told me to relax, Bagworm's rent-a -lawyer will no longer be able to harass me, and to concentrate on school again. He also said that my writing was good, coherent and logical, etc , which made me happy.
When I said goodbye after the initial consult, I asked him not to think that I am a crazy, but that I wanted him to know that he was an answer to prayer- he said, "I understand- I have a doctorate in divinity!!!"
Somehow, all of the evidence starting flowing in- Bagworm's liquidation of shared assets, his fraudulent assertions to the court, etc. I feel vindicated and happy and feel no tension- AHHH!
Thank you Faithful Ami- you are always right about divine providence. That Doctor in Divinity---- WHAT a touch, Changing. Your situation is such an example of Divine Providence, You did the steps on the physical earth and God took care of the things that were beyond your control.
I really knew in my heart that things would come through for you b/c you have to have a special place in God's heart(IMO).
You are a little feisty thing who has always had every reason to give up. You are like a "cartoon character" who has all the things fall on him,hit him, roll over him, but he gets up and keeps running. I know that your way of approaching life has to be the plan for all of us.
I will print out your post and take it with me.
It is a sign that we need to do all we can on the earth and then just give it up to the Father who loves us.
Changing, you are a hero. (don't say" no". I can see you there shaking your head). We all can inspire others if we chose to go the route of courage like you have.
I really am in "awe" of how God worked it out BUT I knew all the time that He would.

That sounds so encouraging! I'm so pleased for you. You've done so much of the work already, but I know it helps to have someone to take what you've already found out and use it to get an outcome that's what you need right now.

It is so wonderful to have the incredible friends I have here to share my news with and to have them rooting for me as well!!!
In desperation, I called many lawyers and law firms. It seemed quite inpossible, with the filing date so close. This lawyer had my number on his Blackberry, I suppose from my calling his firm. He is extremely conscientious, and called until we spoke. The firm is in a ritzy area pretty far away, and I thought that it would not work out, but it did, and I am so happy and thrilled with the work product and the courtesy that I have been shown.
My lawyer is making it clear that I am not to be trifled with any longer. Even the documents so far have flourishes of this, requiring Bagworm and Moron (his name for NH Bagworm's rent-a-lawyer !) to jump through many hoops (instead of over my fence!), and stay away unless they have an appointment set by the court, specify every little item,etc. He also expressed outrage and scorn in the docs in a skilful, non-histrionic, and powerful way, and his elegant scholarly style reeks of major consequences to anyone stupid enough to ignore its hidden threat of legal retribution. He has humiiated them and their cheap and nasty quasi-legal or even patently illegal antics with a high-class on the level example of real honest work by an attorney!
Bagworm may now have to give me 100% of our money because the law requires this in instances of fraud, as an incentive for honesty in divorce property settlements. Frankly, I wasn't even trying to get half, I just was so happy and content to be free of NH Bagworm and his abusive tactics. The fraudulent filings by Bagworm are now amply contested in great detail with excellent documentation, just as I dreamed they would be. Now, even if there is some funny business at the District level, I have things spelled out for the appeal, showing that the District should have reasonably seen the fraud, etc.
I am so happy!!!

There is a proverb which says that if a thief steals from you, you will get back 7 times what he stole(loose paraphrase).
I BET( see if I am right) that you will get back so much more than you ever imagined.I am really excited to see how it is going to transpire.
No one should mess with you(God's child) b/c they have to answer to your Father who loves you very much.
It sounds strange,but we really are protected.I have seen it with Maria(in her life) and I have seen it in my life.When person has been abandoned by their family, God 'takes" them up in a special way.
This is going to be exciting to see how you get back many times more than what Bagworm stole from you. Love Ami

I am so grateful for my classy yet kind lawyer, and I feel now that whatever happens, at least I did my best (by being Izzyfied) and presented the truth and alll the documentation (yes Ami I may get more than what was stolen...I wasn't seeking it, but it certainly is the law!!!)

Thank you for your encouragement! I do feel free- the well-documented truth is out there, while Bagworm's fraud and lies are easily seen for what they are in his documents- no back up(because it isn't so), scant few of the required items filled out (because it would show the truth), ridiculous assertions- even if the judge is friendly or more with the moronic rent-a lawyer that Bagworm has (I hope not), it is easy to see the facts, and a very defendable case already in place if an appeal is needed to another court to reverse things.

Thank you for your kindness , insight and friendship through this whole wacky episode. Your pulling things together with the orphan joke really crytalized things for me- that my original lawyer was not well-versed, and that I needed to focus on NH Bagworm's own wrongdoings resulting in his dilemna. Than you so much!!! Now I feel that whatever happens, I did my best and the obvious will be seen, even if it is eventually ( they picked the judge).

Happy to serve as a catalyst any time I accidentally manage to do so. :lol: Well they may pick the judge but there's no honor among thieves and it may be that judge wouldn find that supporting the bagworm's fraud is more trouble and potential embarrassment among his colleagues than it is worth. Sounds like your first counsel was a 'high talker' and distressingly N-ish in some key respects. Luckily you were aware and resourceful! May the bagworm be served with his own sauce and be compelled to lick clean the plate.

I love that image!!! I will envision that when we meet in court Monday (ick!!!) I'm not bragging, but today in Contracts I had all of the people in class laughing (I was not disrespectful, but simply had my own way of seeing the elements etc, after a classmate was unable to answer and I was called upon, and I knew the answers. Outside after class, a mass of people were saying how well I did, etc. I finally feel that I am on the road to coming back to the happy place that I was in at the beginning of term. Thank you for your support.

Oh, you guys! Thank you for your encouragement- I was troubled with the aftermath of the incidents of cops, lawyers scaling the fence, untrue assertions to the court. Now I am feeling much better and enjoying the lull until the hearing (a fool's paradise?)- thank you for your kindness and insight, and just plain generous friendship. There is no where else I can discuss the vicious wacky events of getting rid of an N that anyone has the patience or understanding to sit through the ridiculous litany of woe, much less sort through things and give great advice.
