Title: concerned over my thyroid lab results
Post by: reallyME on November 14, 2007, 03:30:49 PM
Hi all

Today i got a copy of my lab results for my thyroid test.  I took them to my chiro who does research on this stuff and stays up to date with the latest discoveries.  he said he thinks I may have Hashimotos syndrome, but to go to my endocrinologist, which is what my doc recommended.  Then, I took my lab papers to the bioidentical hormone specialists and they agreed with my chiro.

At this point, I've got an appt with the endocrinologist on Dec 5.  I will be asking him to do a T-3 test to make sure that my thyroid is using the hormone I take.  The docs DO NOT ROUTINELY TEST T-3.  If the endo will not test me, there is a test I can buy for about $100.  It's a saliva/blood test.  I will do that and find out myself what is going on.

If I don't get put on any other type of med or supplement, I will be using natural supplements for this.

I am very concerned right now about my health.  Please...pray, give advice, whatever...it's all appreciated.

I am in your shoes.  I have been on T 3 but I but that out because it just did not do any good.  I think your health in these matters is a series of trials and errors.  Try one thing and it does not work-try another and it does!  Good luck Laura-I have been down this road and still am!

Dear Laura,
My favorite health care 'provider" is Dr Schultz. He has a book called ,'There are no Incurable Diseases" .
He understands how to get the body(including the thyroid) back in to balance.
I cured my Standard Poodle of Addisons Disease  using Dr Schultz. She is 13 now and fine. It is a simple natural program.
Let me know if you want more info.         Love   Ami

Hi Laura,

Along with going vegetarian, can you start taking long daily walks, and daily meditation?

I think often we can renew our bodies, and I'm pulling for you.

with love,
Hops

Laura,

Best wishes with your health. I'm afraid that I don't know anything to suggest -- I'm with Hops though, in believing that we have the ability to renew our bodies. I know that your days are filled with distress and emotional issues right now (with daughter) and so I think Hops advice is particularly good.

Have you heard of a therapy called Harmonyum? I hadn't, but through a series of odd events the other day I found a practitioner near me and I have an appointment for this weeked. I am going for emotional / spiritual reasons, but it is my understanding (and belief) that problems in those areas can manifest as physical illness too.
