Hi I have been reading your post 's for a long time. U nfortunatley I had a nervous breadown recently and so couuld n't get involved in your board.
I have bought a book called Narcissism in the Family.
And after reading this and recalling my mother's behaviour my whole life and hearing about her behaviour before I was born, I have come to the conclusion she is an N. The only way I can deal with her is to ignore her or humour her but her temper is getting worse as she get's older.
I know you all have similar problem's I just wanted to share my experience.
I hope I will be welcome to use your group, I have to go now I find typing very tiring.
Steve.

Hi Steve,
The temper does seem to get worse, as they get older. I think in the case of my NMother it was because she received constant reinforcement from my very passive father (sorry, Dad) who just wanted to hear the sound of her voice as his other memories became more clouded. He passed away at the age of 83. With no one for her to vent to on a daily basis, there was no one to diffuse her anger and it all boiled over.
I hope I will be welcome to use your group, I have to go now I find typing very tiring.
I hope you'll be able to share more of your story in the future. Writing about this stuff is very tiring. And time consuming, but it can be helpful.
Welcome,
Singer

Hi Steve,
It's a real eye opener finding out about this N business, eh? Now you can go back and remember all the times you thought you were nuts and see them for what they really were.
Good luck on your journey. It will be an interesting one.
