Hi Axa,
Did not know you were from Europe, I am in the UK, which I have mentioned before, elsewhere on threads.
Fraid I don't know enough about US Politics to feel competent in engaging in a conversation, with confidence. :(
Love, Leah
PS > Upon reflection, this may be just the thing for gaining an understanding of the present situation, for me :) Thanks for your thread

Hi Axa,
I am very happy about Obama, and have sent a small contribution to Edwards.
My ideal ticket would be Obama-Edwards.
Or even the other way around.
I read the political commentary on www.salon.com obsessively.
First breath of hope here in a long time, for me personally.
love,

axa, yes, I was thinking of starting a political discussion at one point too, but wasn't sure how it would pan out, so I opted not to.
As I see, it appears we only have Democrats to choose from in the end, so, I know I do not feel good about a woman leading the USA, especially a pro-abortion one, so that exes out Clinton.
I don't know much about MIT, other than he has a weird name that reminds me of baseball
That leaves Obama, who I'm told is Muslim? Not sure how that sits with my Christian beliefs.
I kind of feel like my wants for the election are already being disturbed with having no Republican, Christian or Right to Life candidates looking like they'll be in the final running.
sighs,
it's in God's court really,

Obama is Christian.
You can read the basics on any Obama site.
When he was a child he lived in Asia and for a while attended an ordinary Muslim elementary school.

From what I can gather Obama appears to be authentic and have integrity IMO rare qualities in a politician. He also seems to me to be a person of vision, which I believe is sadly lacking throughout the world. THings don't seem to be going so well for Hill....... will take some time to read Salon. com. I am reading mostly books/papers related to my study so don't get a lot of time to read the political stuff but seems like this is a most exciting time for you guys in the US.
Will continue later.........gotta do some work.
