Title: Question for Dr. Grossman
Post by: Certain Hope on February 14, 2008, 08:44:27 PM
Hi, Dr. Grossman,

If I am recalling correctly, you at one time indicated that a member is welcome to ask another member to no longer post on any thread which she/he initiated. Is that right?

I mean, without giving explanation - or any listing of alleged grievances -  just cutting to the chase and saying,
"Please refrain from posting on threads I start. Thank you."

Thanks!

Sincerely,
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,

Here's what I wrote last September in a thread about board moderation:

"...if a person asks to be left alone, I have allowed them that right."

I wasn't more specific than this.

Best,

Richard

Yes, that's the one. I suspected that I might be recalling my own interpretation of what you'd said, rather than your actual statement.
Now I see that I inferred too much.

Thanks for the clarification, Dr. Grossman.

Sincerely,
Carolyn

P.S.  Personally, I think I'd reserve my Marlene Dietrich impersonation for only the most dire circumstances... and I hope to never be in that place again.
