James, Thank you so much for sharing with us. I am crying b/c I can feel what it took for you to put that on"paper. I can feel the pain and shame you felt as you reached out with your innermost thoughts.
You are not alone or 'different" here. That is the beauty of the board. S/one always has a similar experience and the rest of us understand our own brand of pain, shame and fear.
I am so happy you are here .You have so much courage. None of it was your fault. You were a sweet, innocent little kid, trying to survive with no protection. Worse still, the protectors were the abusers. Thank you so much for your trust in sharing your story.
Love to you, Ami

Good for you, James.
This thing that feels like weakness is your strength.
There is power in speaking the truth, and damn anyone who dismisses it.
If your mother denies and lies, she doesn't deserve your company.
I'm very glad you're in therapy and keep hope alive.
I believe you'll integrate all this.
A book called Dibs in Search of Self might be helpful to you.
You are not alone.
Others have lived through nightmares of abuse and done the healing work you're now embarked on.
Many wind up sane, soulful and whole.
You're going to be one of those.
(You're already whole, way down in. It's spreading that health upward, through all the layers of you, that takes the time.)
love

Thats quite a story, James. I'm sorry you had to grow up that way, there are several things in your story that I can relate to... it even brought back some memories for me. I locked myself up in my room and rarely came out... I got a whole apartment to myself now but I still dread door bells and like to be left alone. You deserved much better.

Thank you ((((James)))) for sharing your story.
I was much moved to tears as I read, at times I could feel your pain -- overwhelming as it was.
It takes courage to heal and there is so much you will be able to offer others, as you already are, by sharing your story.
My heart is filled with compassion for you and the child you were who has suffered so much.
