Hi
I just wanted to let everyone know that my mom's surgery went well. She is doing her physical therapy now and coming along nicely. I did however have to tolerate my nsister coming to the hospital to see her to put on her show the day of the actual surgery. But just as I thought, that was her only visit. She did come to see mom at home one time too. As usual she didn't offer to do a thing for her, she just stopped by. But I guess it's better than nothing. As usual, she acted like I was invisible. I am so use to her treating me like she does it doesn't really bother me as much as it once did. But, my 9 year old son was also there and she didn't acknowledge him either. Now that is what makes me livid~ My son is use to her behavior as well, and it didn't seem to bother him. something that a 9 year old shouldn't have to be use to, being totally ignored by his own aunt. Thanks for all of your prayers and words of encouragement for me, as always they did help.

Dear Janis,
I am so glad that the surgery went well. You were very upset, as anyone would be.Having a sister like that must be very, very hard. I am so sorry that you had to put up with that at an already stressful time. Love to you, Ami

Dear Jan,
I am so glad to know that all is well with your Mom and prayer that her physical therapy proceeds successfully. As for your sister's behavior, sadly that is of no surprise, as is my personal experience.
My heart goes out to you regarding your heartache with regard to your dear 9 year old son being ignored. I do know how it hurts so much, as it did with my son and my FOO. Truly, I have sincere empathy with your heartfelt experience. It never ceases to amaze me how they can treat children, as they do, characteristically.
Love and prayers, for you, your son, and your Mom.

Hi Janisty,
I am happy to hear the news.
Could you tell us more about the "invisibility treatment" (in this thread or another one)? I relate to that.
Hugs.
