I'm proud to share that my daughter is Valedictorian of her graduating class of 2008!
How wonderful and well deserved!
Seasons you have a beautiful spirit that shines through here.
When I made up my mind to seek out safe people, to not open up with my mom, or others about myself, it was hard. It still is. I felt sad, grieving how much I just wanted a family to accept me. There was a loneliness. But it all got better with time.
Your daughter is blessed to have your gentle spirit for a mom.

Seasons, that's terrific! Congratulations to you and her.
I understand the disappointment of realizing there's just no point in asking a family member to share your joy.
It might help if you know that after you've stuck to that reality for a long time, it really does stop hurting.
I think that's hard to believe in, when we're still hoping and wishing. But it really does stop hurting.
love to you both, and I know where she got her smarts!

That's quite an accomplishment!!! One that will be valued all of her life.  So glad you could share it here and it could be celebrated.  We should have a party right here on line and sing cheers in her honor - hip, hip, hooray!!!
Can't find enough ways to really exclaim how wonderful it is to have experienced such a triumph but I am standing up cheering for you both.  - GS

I, often, think we should have awards ceremonies, here. Wouldn't it be neat to honor people as they do at banquets. The person goes up and gets an award and everyone claps.
I can see your D and you doing that, Seasons. A child doesn't accomplish THAT much without a loving parent(IMO)     Love   Ami

I think the feeling you get inside.....
from that news.....
might be celebration enough, Seasons?
There's nothing more important than our children.  ::nod::
Wonderful news, thanks for sharing.
