I have decided that no matter what I will take this apartment on the beach. I will pay the penalty. No matter what. I want that.
Thank you for you r encouragement.
Iwent to the new school today. They did not offer a contract. They said that they are a large corporation and thay it is a slow process but that hse wanted me in her staff. I told her, I was making a huge desicion by moving to a place close to her school and I did not want to end up with nothing. She told me I was fine and that hse was excited for me and that it was going to be a good year for me. She worked ofr a large corporation who does charter schools in the whole country and the hireing is slowly.
I am extremely stressed thinking that I will end up with nothing and have spent all my savings moving to my dream apartment. I have decided to take the risk but I would like to hear your opinion.
I do not believe that God will not provide me with a job after I move. If God did not wante me to move, why did he put this apartment in my hands?
What do you think dear friends?
Thank you.
-
Dear Lupita,
I don't know the answer.
My own philosophy is: Trust God
and lock your doors.
Seems to me that they should at least offer you a signed, formal letter of intent to hire...
but I do not know what is the norm.

Dear Lupita
Good Luck!
Not being a teacher, I am not familiar with hiring procedures. Is a contract always called for?
Everything appears to be going your way, so I really hope all works out well for you
Love

Lupita, Why don't you research the charter school company and see what you can find and then try to identify someone who teaches at one of their schools or at the school you have been hired by just to check and see if you can count on them. Meanwhile I would call Legal Services in your area and ask them for advice. I wonder if you can get some kind of proof of a verbal contract from the person who is "assuring" you?
-
The thing about relying on God is that God doesn't always see things our way. God is big picture in my opinion. The answers to our prayers are not always the answers we wish for. But they are still answers. Perhaps this is a lesson about going forward and not being afraid or attached to specific results. The legal advice here should help answer your questions about your rights. Maybe getting legal advice will also help you feel calmer and less afraid. The thing is--you sure don't want to go back to the old school, right? So, the future may be a little foggy just now, but it will probably be okay one way or another.
I learn over and over again that the things I worry about happening never happen. Meanwhile, I've spent valuable minutes and days of my life worrying and not living. Do what you can to be practical but also go forward with hope.

Agreed Juno
Isaih ? G_d says
"My thoughts are not your thoughts and My ways are not your ways"

Brilliant & true. Words to live by.
Yup: Big picture; not what we wished for, but still an answer; detach from results; no fear.

Thank you deer friends. Juno, your answer is very insightful. Go forward trusting in god and that everything will be fine.
Thank you dear friends for your time and encouragement.
I will go forward and trust in the Lord that this is what he wants for me.
God bless you all.

going forward and not being afraid or attached to specific results.
Not attached to specific results.
Detach from the results and enjoy the present. I have said that before, but with what Juno has said it is totally impressive.

My feeling, Lupita, is that the school will work out. I think they seem really excited to have you, from what you have said. I think everything will work out well, Lupita. That is my intuitive feeling about it, for what it is worth. Blessings to you, Lupita, Ami

SS, I sent e mail to the school principal and told her that the owner of the apartment close to there was going to call to verify that I could pay my rent. She respondedn a few hours later saying, "will be glad to help"
That was good news to me.
Thank Izz. Ann, CH all to you for your best wishes. I cant wait to move.

This should go towards proving that you had a verbal contract. I encourage you to keep records about who from the school spoke to whom at the apartments and make a note about what was said on what day. This could be very helpful to you should you need some bargaining power at any time. Call back to the apartment office in a few days and ask if they got that confirmation and get dome of the details so you can make some notes.
That sounds encouraging and reassuring.

The email is your confirmation - wonderful - I am delighted.

Hi Lupita,
An apartment on the beach. How Lovely, Things are looking up for you.
A sensible friend of mine got verbal approval for a new job and he needed to take a year's leave of absence in order to take the job. Since there was a lot at stake, he requested that the new employer send him a letter verifying his employment.
You employer may move slowly but they also need to demonstrate a businesslike attitude and respect for your position.
Just my thoughts.

Dear Lupita,
Have the school principal and the apartment owner talked yet?
When will you move?
When do you report to work?
Here, school begins mid-August, but staff must report during the first week.
Oh, I hope that you will be able to share pictures of your view!
Love,
Carolyn

Hey Lupita:
Such good news.... I was afraid you'd miss that perfect little ocean side nest.
I can feel it..... you'll be nurtured and serene by the water.
Considering you've been told you have a job..... it would be nice to get something in writing.
A written agreement seems reasonable and necessary to me.
Your salary, etc.... should be agreed on and in writing.
Glad you're checking on that....
good luck and I'm so glad for you: )

Hi, thank you all for your best wishes.
I will pay the penalty. I am ready to move, I am just waiting for the owner to aprove me. He said he was going to run a back ground check. I have never sued a drug in my life, I have never been arrested, I am a good person. So, it will probably come out well. So, I am waiting. As soon as I am aproved I will be running like crazy.
No matter where I work, I will live in that apartment, (I mean, If God allows me), my intentionis to be there, even if I find another job and I have to drive long way, I want to be in that apartment at least ofr a year , to taste how is to live in a millionaire people area, Tom Cruis and Tom Seleck have houses there, and many pther celbrities. Heated pool. I am salivating. Please, Lord, allow me to live this adventure.
Just waiting.
Say a pray for me.

That's awesome, Lupita!
Saying a prayer now.

Oh, Lupe!
I am SOOOOO glad you are taking the beach house! I think it will be worth the drive. I would love to do the same thing.
I don't think you can even imagine all the doors that are going to open for you in the next year. This wonderful place to live is just the first of many.
Congratulations!
