Just remembered this -- and it does have to do with voicelessness...
Group was thrilled to hear that I'd told off my brother-in-law. Funny, everyone who hears that wants to stand up and cheer...
Anyway, of the guys, who always has a unique take on things, said that the next time I see him, first thing I should say is, "I'm just going to apologize in advance. Because I know you're going to say something that I'm going to take offense to, and I'm going to have to yell back. So this is a blanket apology in advance that covers everything."
I thought that was pretty funny -- and great advice, if I can have enough guts to go through with it. Hee, hee.

I like it, Lily!
Only trouble is, next time you're tempted to take offense, you're more likely to remember this and bust out laughin!
Then he'll really wonder what you're up to :D
Love,
Carolyn
