Title: I said No!

I just spoke up.

We used to let people mail things out through our postage machine and reimburse the company for the postage. As these things go, it got to be too much. (Too much of my time, too much recordkeeping, etc.) Two people in particular used to abuse the privilege, which is why we stopped. (Ironically enough, they were a VP and one of her reports, and they hate each other. But they always seem to do the same things -- very funny!)

One of them (not the VP) just came out to me and asked if I could put 84 cents in postage on something if she gave me the money.

I said no! Emphatically. And I explained that we don't do it any more, and that the person who was doing it for her shouldn't be doing it.

This was a new turn for me, and hard to do. The woman is a quasi-friend and a real trouble-maker. She's bound to start some malicious gossip or triangulation because I did this. (Yes, she's that immature.)

I'm patting myself on the back. A voice spoken. You can't know how hard it is for me to do these things.

It can be soooooooo hard to open your mouth up and stand up for yourself.  Way to go!  Now do it again before you forget how great it felt!   :D
