Just got back from viewing the twin beams of lights where the towers used to be. I live in NJ, just 8 miles across the water from the towers. Our town lost 36 citizens to the towers. My memories of that day are forever burned into my psyche, they sent hundreds and hundreds of victims and evacuees to our marina for triage and transport. My family was lucky, no one was lost, though we have relatives that did work in the buildings.
My prayers are for all those who lost a loved one that day and for all of us in the US. I have a 21 year old female cousin who is a Marine, just shipped to Iraq.

Eight months after 9/11 I was on the observation deck of the Empire State Building at about 10pm and saw the twin beams shining from so far down below up to heaven. It was breath-taking. When we went to Ground Zero everyone became very quiet. God be with us all.
