Title: I like Thanksgiving

...because it's a holiday that only requires of me that I be grateful, which is my favorite emotion.

I am very grateful for Dr. Grossman and for every single person here who has ever responded to me, inspired me, taught me through agreement or otherwise, shared with us all so I might learn, offered wisdom, counsel, empathy, icons, or just simple glimpses into their lives. Stories ARE life and I appreciate your opening and sharing of them, good and bad, so deeply.

I am so grateful. And so lucky.

Thank you, all of you.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE, AND REMEMBER IT AIN'T JUST ABOUT NUKULAR FAMILIES! IT'S JUST ABOUT US AND THE UNIVERSE, WHICH IS FRIENDLY.

What a beautiful message, Hops.  Hell may be other people, but thankfully, not all!  There are many wonderful people here, including yourself, who have been extraordinarily helpful if not lifesaving.

Me too! I am thankful for all of the lovely people that post on this board. And for all the lovely people I know and share my life with. Sometimes it's just nice to have a day to focus on the good stuff in our lives.

Hops, your unique spelling highlighted for me that the term "nuclear family" in some cases can have another meaning ... as in nuclear bombs! Ha!

Happy Thanksgiving, Hops and all.  I agree re: gratitude.  For some reason, finding the ability to be grateful no matter the circumstances makes me feel stronger.

 I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.......family is tough to deal with even if they aren't all N's but sometimes they are the best of teachers in how not to be.
