Title: just got here

Hi,
My eyes have gone bleary, after reading only about 3 posts, I can feel the emotions rising, and I'm trying not to idealise this place, as everywhere I've ever idealised - well, i bet most people here know what that leads to.  But still, a cautious WOW!    I feel so at home with what I've read, it just seems to fit. 
Ive been on other boards, this feels so different, its almost cellular.   Having an N. mother, and going into exile mostly internally, or being co-opted when I was younger, as an adult being he only one to see what was going on, ..... and etc. 
I hope to share more details in time.

Welcome!  The board has been incredibly supportive to me, full of sympathy and good advice and sometimes laughter, too!  It's not always doom and gloom.  Glad you found us.

If reading the posts makes you emotional, I bet you are in the right place. It helps so much to be armed with information. Once you see the patterns and the repercussions from those patterns in your life, you will be able to move forward a bit and let go of some of the hurt.
