went to hear her speak tonight, very inspirational. Very realistic, and her religion is what she lives, not preaching or telling other people how to go.

She looks old and frail but sounds strong. Her theme was 'this little light of mine...'

Maya Angelou is also the one who said, to Oprah I believe, "you do the best you know how, when you know better, you do better."  I love that one.

Another detour...but less so.
Stanley Kunitz died today, at 100.
He was an amazing poet and wonderful man. An early mentor.

Wave of the hat to you, Stanley...

Do you feel at peace now write?

NO.

I feel a HARMONY, my rhythmn, but just a beginning; that is too muc the problm with art now- answers which are too quick and resolution where there is none in reality:

World resonates.

RESOUNDS.

We wait.

The whole thing shakes;

I turn my back.

It's just a scare.

The things I lack

and my mistakes

are such a plate.

Though love is great

anticipate

manipulation of our fate:

Oh Texas,

what a state!

You have too many

Lexus neo-nates

and not enough who

really care

To burst their bonds

and SHARE.
