I can't imagine living somewhere with bears! Do you see many or is it more just seeing what they got up to when you go out in the morning. I'm used to SEEING bears  in my yard, side yard, in the street at the last house, but so far just had the neighbors reports of bears a few streets over. THIS incident, which is odd bc bears are typically smart enough to get lids off cans, no prob, this is odd bc he smashed the bin, apparently to pop the lid off. He didn't make a mess either. Also weird, IME. I'll just have to keep the bin in the garage. I'm lucky I have a large garage... just had a carport at the other house. Will figure it out, BUT ALL THESE FALLING LEAVES.
Glad you have friends coming. I'm not good with the finishing off stuff, either, I find my enthusiasm starts to go and I start itching for something new again, hence having dozens of unfinished jobs around the house. I am trying very hard now to finish something before I start something else but I find it difficult :) I hope things start to resolve for your DD soon. Hard to see the kids struggle, life feels good when they are smiling, doesn't it. I'm making soup, and roasting a chicken for friends this evening. It makes me happy to seeeee everything organized and cleaned out in both freezers, yup yup yup. Very comforting.
Very happy morning shopping, and organizing. My oldest will put together charcuterie board when home from school... nice when she's happy to be with me in the kitchen. It used to be my youngest... funny how things change.
I've made some travel plans around the holidays.... planning activities for visitors at local tourist attractions is fun. Letting go of the need to make things Martha Stewart perfect helps. I guess that just happened this morning after dog made mess in two rooms.... a sign that I have to relax into this, and just be OK with the way things are.
Will ask friend to exchange time at each others homes doing things we're not great at. Huge relief to know that's going to happen, and we're good at different things so it's a win win. I clean like a demon, and he sets up cable boxes and tv's like a champ. Whoo hoo!
::sending you cyber soup, and lemon ginger tea from the land of bears::

Soup gratefully received :) Never used to eat soup but love the stuff now, especially if you take it out with you and you can sit somewhere with a nice flash of something lovely :) Friends trading help is such a nice thing to do, especially if you are working side by side and can sit down and admire your efforts afterwards :) Those naughty bears, though! How amazing to have them that close by. Hope it all goes well and you get some more of those jobs finished off and off the list :)

Friend tells me bears roam 25 mile radius, so likely he's moved on to other trash cans by now. Whew... hope so. My little pug spends a bit of time on the covered back porch, so.... hate to think of her meeting a bear by her onesie.
Have projects planned with friend, and contractor on calendar to do a bathroom after Christmas. The journey continues: )
