How many times have you had credit card fraud happen to you?
lighter:
There was a 1.00 charge from Luxembourg yesterday....
for ONE FRIGGIN DOLLAR that didn't go through, bc the address didn't match up on the billing address, so it was flagged.
And now that entire card has to be shut down, and I have to go through the fun of contacting merchants who bill me regularly through that card.
The last time this happened was in 2018 to my Discover card.... someone tried to make a purchase at a Toys R Us in another State.
Now, I'm complaining a little, I understand that, and I know I should focus on gratitude, which I'm shifting into......
......
now. ::nodd::

Sorry Lighter; I've had it happen enough times I have another strategy now. I only use one card for online purchases... and recurring bills go on another. It's hard to know if it's an employee somewhere, a data breach or what. But this way I can isolate the pain & agony somewhat.
Twoapenny:
Ah, Lighter, it is so annoying! I've only had it happen once, and to add insult to injury whoever did it bought a load of stuff that I'd have loved but couldn't afford! It's a pain that you've got to go through all those bills to rearrange payments while they sort a new card out. Do they have any idea how it happened? xx
Hopalong:
None...
and I use it to order dog kibble from Amazon and huge boxes of nicotine gum from NZ (waaaaaaaaaay cheaper).
Very nice biz owner who sends personal newsletters about the Christchurch earthquake, his family,
the mosque shootings...
I've been lucky, because it's a debit card. (I cut up all CCs a long time ago.)
So very sorry you've had this hassle!

That's a great idea, Amber. Simplifies things when you separate tasks for each card.
Yup yup yup.
Thanks for the responses, folks.
This, too, shall pass.
